Hi this is Max from Sports Illustrated Kids
I’m here with Zach Auguste. You had an outstanding performance today, do you think it has to
do with your level of experience for a senior? Yeah, you know I think I can help this team
with a lot of maturity, a lot of growth, and a lot of experience based on how I’ve been.
It’s not just about me it’s about the team and I think we’ve done a great job playing
basketball together. Do you feel you have more responsibility as a senior.
For sure. I think I’ve been around the longest. You know, me and Austin have been around the
longest, so for me I’m just kind of helping the guys get through this with our experience.
With my maturity and all of the things I’ve been through has really been beneficial.
Do you think Coach Brey expects more from you?
Yeah, you know, I think he expects me to go out there and lead and not hang my head, when
things get tough he wants me to step up and be that voice and lead by example. How will
you help prepare the team for the Sweet 16? Oh, man, you know really first we gotta get
back to school , get our academics down, get our homework in, get our feet underneath us,
get some rest, but at the end I gotta continue to remind them that we know what it takes
we won the championship before, especially last year so let’s just continue to work hard.
Do you think that Thomas Walkup is as hard to guard as any other player in the ACC? Yeah,
man, you gotta give him a lot of credit. He’s a great player, he’s position-less, too, he
just plays everywhere you know he can pretty much do anything. It was a tough matchup for
us but in the end we did what we had to do to get the win.
Thank you. No Problem man. thank you
