Tyra Banks Appears on ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’ Cover After 23 Years | THR News

– X cookie cutter beauty, you guys. It’s all about all ages,
all sizes, all colors, all everything. – Get ready to Smize, Tyra Banks is once again
a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Girl,
looking as fierce as ever on one of three covers
for the 2019 edition of the annual issue. And the 45 year old supermodel stopped by Good Morning America to talk all about it. This marks the America’s
Next Top Model creator’s third turn as the SI swimsuit cover star. Banks made her SI swimsuit debut in 1993. In 1996, she appeared on
the cover for the first time alongside fellow model Valeria Mazza. Then, one year later in 1997, Banks made history as
the first black woman to earn a solo cover spot. Now, over 20 years later, Banks is gracing the cover once again. – When you’re seeing
that, what do you think? – Yeah I’m like. – Looking good? – Dang, I’m 45 you all! – In a statement, SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day said, “since Tyra’s
first cover in 1996, “she’s transformed
herself into nothing less “than a mogul, a cultural
force and a supernova “of inspiration and empowerment.” This year’s two other cover stars are U.S. National Women’s Soccer player and Olympic gold medalist, Alex Morgan and 2018 SI Swimsuit Model
Search winner, Camille Kostek. For more on this story, head to thr.com. Until next time, for The
