Hey hey guys! It’s Deva! Today, I’m going to take you behind the scenes of Taylor Swift End Game Parody. Now, I love parodying Taylor Swift! She is one of my favorite people to parody! So when I heard this song I was like I have to do it! And with all her references to sports and playing first string I was like End Game…Sports Games! And then when I thought about sports games I thought about how completely psycho most sports parents are. [Yelling] Now I am very lucky because I have the coolest bunch of friends on planet Earth. These people are like parents, and real professionals. They’re like vets, and detectives, and lawyers. And they are always willing to jump in and be completely crazy in my videos And I am so greatful. We had so much fun on this parody! And trying to nail the dancing with my friends Rick and Joe was a blast! 5,6,7,8 [Laughter] Deva stopped and you guys didn’t stop. Are you supposed to stop at the end? You guys 2 out of 3 of you are doing it. Alright we got 2 out of 3! We got 2 out of 3! Alright get over here. You got to do it! No! You got to do it! I can’t do it! Alright ready? 5, 6… 5, 6, 7, 8! So as we were shooting, all of the kids independently of themselves, busted out the Floss! Can you guys do that for the camera? Yeah! Yeah! Let’s do it for the camera! Where did they learn that? Kids love this dance! I love that dance! It’s called the Floss The Floss? That’s a fast move. I got to learn that! And the grown ups were fascinated by it! In fact, later that night, I made my kids teach me how to do it. And I literally practiced in the pantry and now I’m amazing! ish… Lucy, we’re doing the Floss! You ready? Oh! My hip just popped! When old people do the Floss! We even roped Jacquie’s mom into this video and she was awesome! Go! Go! Go! Hooray! Great! Perfect! So it turns out sliding into home plate is a lot harder than it looks! Nice! I can’t do it! [Laughter] Hold on! Hold on! I’m doing one! Nice! I was amazing! There we go! So in the process of creating these videos I first write the lyrics then I go into my closet and I record the song! And often, as I’m recording, I will change the words and do whatever kind of works in the moment. Well, when I ask my friends to lip sync things and I have the wrong words written on the page sometimes it’s a little bit of a problem. It’s, “I don’t want to dis you, like the other dads do” Like the other dads do…okay. It’s not written there. Okay, sorry! Sorry! I changed it. But I was super impressed with my friends’ lip syncing skills. That low voice that you hear rapping in the video is actually me with an effect on my voice But the guys totally, totally, totally, made it seem like it was them! My kid’s dope, I will boast! My kid’s yoked! Your kid is toast! You love it! I love it too! And as always, we had a ton of laughs on this shoot. And a ton of mess-ups! Need some… Parent altercation, need some sed…. I keep saying sedation! We shot most of this parody on fields And therefore the kids were going completely bananas and kids kept running through the frame running across the screen It was pretty funny! Don’t run back there! Just make the team then you validate my life You guys! You guys! You guys! You guys! You guys! So my friend Judith is a lot nicer than I am and when I was trying to get her to play a big, bad, mean ref She was like too nice to be mean! But she finally nailed it! And then throw your arm down! Throw my arm down how? Rawr! Apparently you’re not as mean as I am! You got a bad attitude! You’re outta here! Okay now just scream rawr at him! What? Yep. You can do it! With the arm? Yep. Rawr! We had a moment where the field behind us was totally covered in children. Ugh-oh. We’ve got company. We might be done. Yeah. And then they recognized me! And then we ran! Well since Lucy was in the background of this entire video I decided to bring her here to sign off! So…say bye Lucy! Bye! And make sure to subscribe!
