Let’s just break it down
for a second. You’re out there,
expected to do your job, and to do it well,
in front of… realistically, 20 million people
watching on TV, if not more. What’s that like? When I’m back there
in that moment, like, I’m… I’m the guy. I’m gonna make this kick. And nobody can
take this moment away from me. You’ve had more than
a few dramatic kicks. JUSTIN TUCKER:
I don’t hit anybody
out on the football field,
but in that moment,I could run through
a brick wall. BERNARD GOLDBERG:
Running through a brick wall?
Not a good idea
for a guy who just signed
a four-year
20-million-dollar-plus contract,
the largest ever
for an NFL kicker.
When the game’s on the line, is that the guy
you want on the field? Historically, I mean,
he’s the best that’s ever been. I mean, you couldn’t–
For us to have him is– I mean,
it’s an insurance policy. That’s why when he misses,
which is very rare, everybody just is shocked. GOLDBERG:
John Harbaugh is the head coach
of the Baltimore Ravens.
There are times, he says, when his kicker is
a little too exuberant.
JOHN HARBAUGH:
Most of the time,
instead of calling the field
goal to go out, I’ve got to call
the field goal team to come back if I want to go for it. ‘Cause he’ll be 10 or 50 yards
in the field, and we’ll be going for it,
and I’m like, “Tuck! We’re going for it!” He just assumes
he’s gonna get the kick. I’m trying to let them know,
“Hey, I’m available! I’m ready to go
if you need me.” ♪ (“REAL SPORTS” THEME PLAYS) ♪
