Red Raiders get the bats rolling in the third. Megan Kappauf hits the sweet spot. And this one is long gone. Three-run homer makes it 4-0 Central Few batters later. Ashley La Rue roles one back up the middle. One run comes into score. Red Raiders now up 5-0.. Central not done in the inning. Emily Hayden pulls one down the line. Two more runs come on home. Red Raiders score eight runs in the third… On the mound Leah Kramer brought her A-Game. She goes the distance in this one… Striking out seven and only allowing two hits… Central roles to a ten-nothing win. next up is Middleton who shuts-out Tomah. Eight-nine game in Division two has Black River Falls hosting Onalaska. 4th inning. Kayla Cochlin slaps one down the line. nice hustle beats out the throw. 8 runs for the Hilltoppers in the 4th. they lead 10-4. to the 5th. Chayla Dobson rips one to right. 1 run in. Tigers trail 10-5. 6th inning. B-R-F continueing the comeback. Kaytlin Johhnson playing a little wall ball. 2 runs come in off the double. Now just a three-run game. 7th inning. Marisah Miller closes the door. she strikes out the side in order to end the game. Onalaska takes this one ten-to-seven. G-E-T with a strong showing. meanwhile Tomahawks defeats West Salem. they advance to face Logan. Sparta gets shutout and Mauston loses. We get an exciting game in Division three as rivals Viroqua and Westby meet up. To the 5-th. Norse down 2. Cassie Peterson drives one to the gap in left. 2 score and we’re tied at 4. Next inning. Viroqua loads the bases. But look at the play by Chelsea Olson from her knees to end the inning Viroqua’s Mackenzie Hoffland flashes some leather of her own in the 7-th. Nice diving catch. We go to extras. Bottom of the 8-th. Runners on second and third. Olivia Tryggestad ends it. Beautiful suicide squeeze! Viroqua moves on with the 5-4 win. I was struggling early on so I was really wanting to get a hit and when coach told me to bunt I had confidence that I could do it and I got the bunt down and beat it out. Pretty nerve racking early on right away through the whole game, I didn’t know what to feel making sure I got every block down nothing gets passed me just a great game. Viroqua will face Arcadia in the next round. Raiders a ten-run winner. Also Prairie du Chien and Brookwood both lose this evening by two runs. Division four. Bangor opens up against Weston. Cardinals bats hot early and often. Trisha Jones knocks one back up the middle. Two runs score to make it 13-1. Few batters later. Mikaela Jepson with the RBI hit past third. Bangor wins 16-1. nine runs coming in the first inning. Seneca and Wonewoc-Center square off in the opening round. Seneca bats alive early. How about this. Seneca taking care of business tonight. so does New Lisbon. Those two scheduled to meet tomorrow in what should be a fun game. Nine-seed Pepin/Alma at eight-seed Blair-Taylor. 1st inning. Whitney Saxe gets ahold of this one. it rolls all the way to the wall. 1 run in….that ties things at 1. to the 2nd. Cierra Curran gives this one a ride. it too rolls all the way to the wall. 1 more in for the Wildcats. They lead 2-1. Blair-Taylor scoring ten unanswered to win ten-one. More scores in D-4. Hillsboro scores twice in the 7th and again in the 8th to win a shoot-out. while La Farge wins on the road. Lincoln 11-1. 10-seed Indy/Gilmanton winning up in Clear Lake. Immanuel wins by one. Wauzeka-Steuben loses.
