Mumbai Indians set for Champions League T20

The Mumbai Indians were in the nets at Centurion
Park in Johannesburg ahead of the start of the 2012 Champions League T20 tournament. The defending champions have been drawn in
group B, alongside the Chennai Super Kings, the Highveld Lions, the Sydney Sixers and
the qualifier team from Pool 2, Yorkshire Carnegie. Batsman Richard Levi says everywhere he looks,
he’s surrounded by quality. “Its very exciting to be part of the squad
with Mumbai Indians champions for the champions league, the guys are very excited and obviously,
the players and the calibre of the players around me is amazing and this is a greatest
opportunity to be around them. The likes of Australian fast bowler Mitchell
Johnson and Indian icon Sachin Tendulkar are expected to lead the Mumbai charge, with their
two Sri Lankan players – Lasith Malinga and Thisara Perera – hopefully recovered from
their efforts at the recent Twenty20 World Cup, in time for the start of the CLT20 on
Saturday.
