[intro music] Hey Lions! I’m Brice Reynolds. I’m giving you all you need to know inside
the world of sports. The Lady Lions volleyball team took on the Robert
Wesleyan Redhawks in the East Coast Conference matchup. The Lions got off to a fast start behind freshman
Shannon Wren who recorded 15 kills leading the lions to a first set victory. But the Redhawks answered right back, taking
the second set 28-26. Sophia Smith was dealing dimes all day. She finished with 40 assists on the day, but the Lions
dropped the next two consecutive sets in close contest, losing the matchup with Robert Wesleyan
3 sets to 1. An unimaginable tragedy rocked the baseball
world this past week. On Sunday, September 25, Miami Marlins pitcher
Jose Fernandez was killed in a boating accident. Major League baseball has performed multiple
acts of tribute to honor Fernandez, including the Miami Marlins wearing his number 16 jersey on
Monday, September 26 in their game against the New York Mets. This was their first game following the tragedy
of Fernandez. They took home the victory but the greiving
process will last long after the season is over. Fernandez took home Rookie of the year in
2013 and was well on his way to what would have been an extraordinary career. He was just 24 years old. Make sure to follow us in Twitter, Snapchat,
