Do you prefer midfield or forward?>>I like midfield and I Hink there’s a lot of responsibility.>>What about live TV and live radio?>>Not as much.>>So far so good. Tomorrow women’s soccer opens and attempts to win at Santa Clara.>>We have taken it to every team this year and we have such a different mindset and our chemistry is something I’ve never experienced.>>You’ve outscored opponents 29-3 and what does the ranking mean to you guys?>>This team we just take it game by game and we think about where we’ve come and where we are but it’s just the game ahead of us. We know every team will give us their best game.>>Lizzy braby with us. Let’s take a deeper dive into what you talked about, the dynamic of this team compared to other good teams. What are the specifics that set this team apart.>>They’re just so mentally strong. We’ve had great teams in the past but this team no matter if we’re down, we come back and come back stronger. We set in and have a different mindset.>>So are you guys reading books, seeing psychologists?>>We made it mandatory to work with Siddoway and it’s made the biggest difference.>>I remember as my time as a punter it is very mental and I worked with Craig and former soccer player Siddoway Gates is Craig’s go to. How’s she doing?>>I’ve always looked up to her and she’s a big impact and she’s just everyone’s idol and even last year with how far we came she was our captain and she set the example and we really listen to her.>>Lizzy baby with us and the cougars play at Santa Clara and you are the last undefeated and untied team in the entire united States. How does it feel to play with that?>>I love it. All of us do well under pressure. I love proving myself and everyone wrong. I love coming out with this attitude of playing my best and I know our best is better than theirs.>>You’ll miss that and it’s fun and talking about the team and you’re all elite, who’s the most fiery competitor?>>I think it depends on the game. Our back line is really feisty and everyone can.>>Let’s name names.>>Uh.>>Alyssa Jefferson has that reputation.>>It’s not a bad thing.>>Oh no.>>And you’re right, my thought would go to the defensive backs. Coach Rockwood’s in her 25th season and has done remarkable things. What’s your favorite moment?>>I remember the funny moments if we’re listening to Jen talk and she’s getting frustrated at us wing players and she wanted us to play centrally and right across we score on it and it was so funny.>>It just worked right there, coach.>>We look abck and laugh so hard. Those are the moments we live for.>>Why did you choose BYU when you were so heavily recruited?>>I’ve always loved the idea of BYU and I just heard about the environment and how good of people are around and I wanted to be a better person. This school is amazing.>>It helps that it’s a soccer powerhouse. We’re a women’s soccer and volleyball school. What are you studying and what’s next?>>I’m exercise and wellness but I have a passion for it and I’ve always loved it so hopefully in the future I’ll become a personal trainer or strength and conditioning coach and I love watching people improve at doing what they love.>>Lizzy baby with us, great to have you.
