Lady Bulldogs Volleyball vs Lake County Lancers

Hey It’s Noah, your host of ‘Home Game Heroes’. The Lady Bulldog Volleyball team beat the
Lake County Lancers 3 sets to 1 in there last home game of the season. It’s been a rough year for South Suburban,
and the losses kept piling up, but any student athlete will tell you that perseverance may
be the greatest asset a player can have. Tonight the ladies used that motivation to
get a much needed victory. Set one, both teams went back and forth, but
some hustle plays on offense for SSC led to a 25 -19 set win. Set two, the Lancers played even with the
Bulldogs and with the score 20-19, Coach Orth called a time out. Strategy paid off as Lake County served into
the net and Aisaleah Gillis put one away for a 25-21 set 2 win. Set three, SSC, lost a bit of composure and
were downed 25-16. The decisive set was all Bulldogs, they jumped
out to a 16-10 lead, forcing CLC into errant play. Evangelin Young and Jenine Boyles had big
kills at the net to put the game away. With 35 digs and continuous hustle play, Elizabeth
Weglowski is our ‘Home Game Hero’. That’s the end of the regular season here
at home for the Lady Bulldog Volleyball team. You can always check out highlights on SSC.edu/athletics,
as well as scores and stats from past results. For ‘Home Game Heroes’ I am Noah and we will,
see you next time!!.
