Hurricane Harvey’s woes could be the reason for West Oso’s volleyball success

FIRST TIME IN AT LEAST 5 YEARS… FIRST YEAR COACH SHERI CAIN TOOK THE JOB.. KNOWING PLAYING IN THE POST SEASON WAS NOT GOING TO BE EASY. WHAT SHE DIDN’T KNOW WAS HURRICANE HARVEY WOULD HIT AND DISPLACE KIDS WHOSE NEIGHBORHOODS WERE SEVERLY DAMAGED. ONE OF THOSE KIDS TRANSFERED FROM ROCKPORT FULTON TO PLAY FOR WEST OSO.. AND SHE MAY BE THE REASON BEHIND THE TEAMS SUCCESSBUT THERE WAS A TIME THAT BRITINEY COULD HAVE LEFT AND WENT BACK TO ROCKPORT-FULTON… THE TEAM WAS ABLE TO RESUME PLAY… BUT, HER HOUSE WAS DESTROYED IN THE HURRICANE, ALONG WITH A COUPLE OF VEHICLES, THEIR BARN, CABINS AND FAMILY RESTAURANT WAS BADLY DAMAGED.. BRITNEY THOUGHT IT BEST TO REMAIN AT WEST OSOAND STAYING AT WEST OSO ONE COULD ARGUABLE SAY THAT SHE IS THE REASON WEST OSO MADE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS..INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, ROCKPORT FULTONS VOLLEYBALL TEAM ALSO MADE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS… BUT BRITNEY IS HAPPY WHERE SHE IS AT.. AND STILL COMMUNICATES WITH HER OLD TEAMMATES IN ROCKPORT…THE FIRST GAME OF THE WORLD SERIES IS TONIGHT … AS THE LOS ANGELES
