Ellen’s First Baby Olympics: Curling Edition

Ellen’s First Baby Olympics: Curling Edition

Since we can’t be
at the Olympics, I wanted to bring
the Olympics to us. So, today, I’m kicking
off my own competition. Let’s meet our three athletes
for our first Ellen Baby Olympics. [MUSIC PLAYING] All right. First of all, representing
Oceanside, California, we have baby Coleman
and his mom, Natalie. Coleman is seven months old,
and he’s very, very committed. He skipped his nap
to be here today. Next, representing
Los Angeles, we have baby Emmie
and her mom, Megan. Emmie is nine months old. And she’s been training for
this event for 8 and 1/2 months. Good luck, Emmie. And representing
Marietta, California, we have baby Emree
and her mom, Brooke. Emree is the oldest
at 13 months. And a lot of people are
surprised she’s still competing and hasn’t retired. All right. So here’s how this works. It’s baby curling. And what’s going to
happen is each mom is going to push their
baby one at a time. The baby that gets closest to
the bullseye right there wins. We’ll play two or three
rounds until, you know– or until I’m bored, actually. Strap your babies in. And while they’re
strapped in, Twitch will sing the national anthem. [CLEARS THROAT] Yeah. [LAUGHS] Um, how
does it start, Ellen? [LAUGHTER] That’s all right. I just wanted to
see if you’d do it. OK, cool. Yeah. Thank you. That’s like– yeah. All right. And the first mom is Natalie. Good luck. Natalie, you can do it. She’s the most
aerodynamic, so– or he is. Nope. Coleman, here we go. All right. Here we go. Megan, good luck. So– like, I think if you lean
down and put your body into it and push and be one
with Emmie, be one. Oh. No, way too much. Way too much. Way too much. She went spinning
around, didn’t you? Oh. All right. Well, that’s not bad. All right. Here’s what happening. Brooke, everybody seems to
be pushing in this direction. So think of that. Maybe the wind– I don’t know– we should
take that into account. Maybe you should head in this
direction, not quite as hard. Good luck. Coming for you. Ready? All right. That looks good. That looks real good. That looks real, real good. Ah– oh. Aw. So that’s really good. All right. All right, let’s
have one more round. So far, that looks like
that’s the closest. OK. OK, good luck, Natalie. Going to the right. Come on, Natalie,
this is important. Go. That looks– Oh. That is good. Yay! All right. That is the one to beat. Good luck, Megan. Come on. Oh, that’s close. What? That’s going to be
a perfect bullseye. Yay! All right. Come on. It’s down to you. OK. Ready, Emree? Oh–! That’s– It’s a three-way tie. That is a three-way tie. And for playing, you’re
each getting a $1,000 Buy Buy Baby gift card, where you
can find my own Ellen DeGeneres baby collection. [APPLAUSE]
