Darian Hogg: Sports Clips

Freshman year, I got tired of being broke. so I lied to people and told them I knew how. so the trial and error that’s how I got to the stage I am now. I started playing flag football in third grade played for the stingers for the YMCA club in town since I was four years old that was my dream I wanted to do to be an air force pilot you know the asthma certainly shot that down. I can’t imagine being anywhere else even
you know a bigger school or anything like that because I wouldn’t know the people I know here. Having the football community,
you have a lot more accountability. Some people who don’t don’t have football,
they might have one or two best friends. But with football you probably have ten real good friends and yet you still know everybody on the team. My dad is my hero to this day. He always took care of me growing up and he doesn’t expect anything less than me to graduate,
so I kind of do that for him, you know, that’s his goal he wants to see lived out
and I’m going to make it happen Who’s Darian Hogg off the field? I take care of my business, you know, class and stuff like that,
and when it’s time to have fun, it’s time have fun. Some people have to be a leader in different ways, mine is through setting an example but I have to have fun on the football field even when things are going bad I still have to smile because I’ll get really frustrated with myself if things aren’t going right so just a way for me to, you know, be energetic and, you know, laugh and giggle on the sidelines. It helps me kind of stay calm and, you know, keep everything in perspective. I can’t be physical on the track. You hit somebody as hard as you can and you won’t get in trouble for it. So I mean that’s the only place in life you can do that. “I’m about to just cut your hair like I normally do” “Gaw–lee” “He’s mad cause I cut his hair for free” “But then he gets mad when I cut him last”
