What if women and girls could live free from violence and live out their full potential? What if we reimagined a world where every woman, where every girl is treated with dignity and justice?
There are women fighting for that world to come and their courage must be known.
These are their stories I’m the first woman Chief who paved the way for others. I was first time nonviolent offender… that was sentenced to life without parole. When we worked towards eradicating human
trafficking, we will change the world. Injustice is injustice whether it be a
caste, class, or any other form of oppression. It is a critical time and in
order to understand the need for dignity and rights for women and girls,
we should get closer see the world through their eyes, feel their courage to
question, and take action. When you see a face, when you see another human being,
that changes things. I have a voice and I have the courage to speak up. To question.
To create change. Together we can end our marriages. Dalit women fight. I fight
against human trafficking. For 21 years and never stopped fighting. It is time to
come together and fight for a new narrative.
