Music If you’re thinking about getting
involved with adaptive sports after you’ve had an injury or an illness, there
is literally something for everyone so you can pick your sport and develop ways
to get involved with that sport. When you pick out a sport, really look at things
that you enjoyed prior to your injury and start there. Figure out how it’s
adaptive. So some sports have restrictions for height, weight, various
other medical conditions that may prevent them from being able to do that
specific sport but there’s always tons out there. If one doesn’t work then
there’s lots to choose from. So there are some common things that we like to do to prepare to come out here, and it depends on your injuries and if you have
some chronic medical issues like heart problems. make sure that that’s
addressed before you come as well. You can do it, and I want to make sure that you all know that just come on out there and
participate. Make that first step. So when you guys come out here if you’re scared,
that’s okay. Many of you may not have skied at all
prior to your injury, it’s daunting task to even think about skiing down a
mountain. Know that you have world-class ski instructors out here that are gonna
make you as successful as they possibly can. Here at the Winter Sports Clinic we
have a team that’s dedicated to take care of you, so that you can carry over
your needs from your wheelchair or prosthetic limb use or any type of
technology you might be using, into the adaptive sports technology that you’re
