10 Indoor Games for Kids At Home – Boredom Busters

Even though summer is coming. There are
going to be rainy days. Going to want to do something with your kids indoors. hi Shawn here! Welcome! If you are new, I
would love for you to consider hitting that subscribe button down below. I am so
close to a thousand subscribers so help me get there you guys! Today’s video I’m
going to give you 10 fun indoor games for kids. Even though summer is coming up. There are
going to be rainy days. You’ve got to do something with your kids indoors so here
are the things that my family enjoys and loves. While you’re here, I post new
content every Tuesday and Wednesday to help you raise your Christian kids. All
right, so let’s get into today’s video. My first game is an unusual one. Everybody
has a bucket or container of plastic Easter Eggs hanging out in their garage
or up their attic. Well bring those down and practice hiding eggs for the
Easter Bunny. My brother and sister and I used to do this when they were young.
They are seven and eight years younger than I am. I used to practice being the
Easter Bunny and hide the eggs around the house. Repurpose those Easter eggs!
Number two is picture charades or just charades in general but we like picture
charades. These are good for all ages. They’ll be good for your older ones as
well as your younger ones. yYou can pick up picture charades anywhere or you
can have your kids draw pictures and everybody in the family has to act out
the charades. Number three: classic hide and seek. I
don’t know about you but sometimes I forget about hide-and-seek.
There’s this one time where I squeezed myself under a tiny table and my husband
could not find me. I wish I had a picture of it. Number four is the
Heads Up kids app. I’m going to show you kind of what that looks like from
the app. Basically -you know how to play this – you hold the phone up above
your head, the person has to guess what the words on the screen say or the
picture on the screen. Number five is another fun app that we like at my
house. It is the Mad Libs app. It asks basic questions for a noun, for a verb. This is
great for older kids. And then puts it into a story for them, for you to read
back to your kids or have your kids read back to each other.
Number six is building towers. You can build so many fun towers in the house
using Red Solo cups containers. Use any containers you
have. Everybody has blocks lying around. There are all sorts of things that you
can build towers out of and you can have a contest. How tall can you get your
tower? Number seven is “freeze”. We like to play this one by standing on one leg.
So what you do is you see who can stand the longest on one leg. How long can you
stand on your leg? The first person to have their foot touch the ground is NOT
the winner. Number eight are card games. Pull out those card games that you haven’t
played in a while and learn them or relearn them. Some of our favorites are
Uno, Battle, and Sleeping Queens. If you haven’t heard of Sleeping Queens where
have you been? It is a blast! I will link Sleeping Queens in the description
box down below for you to check out. Bubble Wrap HopScotch. I’m going to show
you my son playing Bubble Wrap hopscotch outside but it could easily be
played inside because you’re basically making a mat out of bubble wrap.
Number ten are bubbles that don’t pop but that bounce on carpet. I will link where
we got ours in the description box down below. They come with gloves and you
basically can blow these bubbles that you can just bounce in between your
gloves and they don’t make that big of a mess. Bubbles are always fun.
Alright there are my ten indoor game ideas for you all. I would love for you
to leave a comment down below of what is your most fun indoor game to play with
your kids. Thanks so much for watching and I will see you in my next video. Bye
